KPU Engineering
The mission of Ketchikan Public Utilities is to
provide quality municipal utility services as efficiently
and effectively as possible within guidelines established
by federal and state law, the Charter of the City
of Ketchikan, the Ketchikan Municipal Code and the
ratepayers of the Utility as represented by the
City Council. The Engineering Division is responsible
for providing technical engineering support and
planning to the Electric, Telecommunications and
Water Divisions. These services include in-house
analysis and design development, preparation of
technical specifications for contractual services,
project management of design and construction, inspection
of projects, Computer Aided Drafting and Design
(CADD) and automated mapping services.
