The mission of the Harbor Division is to maintain
and operate the City owned public boat harbors in
a manner that provides for the safe and convenient
use of the harbors by the commercial fishing fleet,
charter boat fleet, pleasure vessels and the general
public. The Harbors are operated in accordance with
Title 14 of the Ketchikan Municipal Code, and the
State Boat Harbor Management Agreement. The Harbor
Division will endeavor to identify and pursue construction
of new facilities and maintain existing facilities
and promote the City of Ketchikan and assist the
community in achieving economic growth.

The Harbor Division operates and maintains six
boat harbors and three launch ramps. Because the
harbors are extremely crowded during summer months,
reservations are not taken. Accommodations are on
a first-come first-serve basis. Upon arrival, contact
the Harbormaster on VHF 16 or 73 (preferred). May
through September, Harbormasters are on duty seven
days a week, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Harbormaster Office
hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
