Mission:
The Fire Service Division is responsible for the
daily delivery of emergency and non-emergency services
to the City of Ketchikan citizens. This division
produces community activities and educational programs
that promote fire safety and injury prevention.
It is the mission of the Fire Service Division to
preserve the quality of life and the economic viability
of the community from losses or injury by training
for and responding to incidents of fire or natural
disaster, which require containment and suppression.
Services:
- Assist EMS Division on medical calls
- Fire prevention training (schools and public)
- Fire and life-safety inspections
- Fire suppression operations
- Fire investigation
